UNICEF NAMIBIA MANUALS
Five manuals were compiled for UNICEF Namibia on completion of the research project titled "Early identification and early intervention services for young children with developmental delays and disabilities in Namibia". In keeping with the International Classification on Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) system, a biopsychosocial approach was followed to unpack child disability rights and provide relevant information to various developmental disabilities. While the first four manuals are quite theoretical, the content of the parent manual is basic and practical.
The Parenting Special Needs magazine celebrates the opportunity of raising a child with specific needs by providing practical tips and sharing lessons to address developmental challenges.
